WIDA Access Testing
New students will take the WIDA Screener to assess their English Language Proficiency. Students will be placed into English Language Learners class as determined by their English level.
Each spring, all ELL students will take the WIDA Access test. This is to show growth in their English proficiency each year. To score proficient on this assessment, a student must score an overall composite score of 4.8 or higher. Then the student will exit the ELL Program and be monitored for 4 years. Please see Parent Handout for more information.
